So incredibly happy to be in Arden where my hubby, Paul, and I just moved in November. I love being in the woods; the beauty, peace, intricacies, wildness, colors, smells, juxtaposition of shapes all about. I also love getting dirty and having any part of my body on or near the earth.
When we lived in Philadelphia, we sent our kids (and every cent we had!) to an elementary school in the woods as the idea of them growing up solely surrounded by concrete was anathema to me.
I also front a band (Stevie and the Bluescasters) which has played at Arden, make collages and give workshops/trainings in Everyday Creativity with Paul both nationally and internationally. I also pride myself on being curious and bit of a GOOD troublemaker whenever and wherever possible.
I helped create the Old Pine Farm Natural Lands Trust with others in the late ’70s, which is still thriving today. Saving the land so others can enjoy it both in the present and future is very important to me. Skills? I like to pull stuff (OUT, OUT, ye olde invasives!!) and thrive on learning new things. During my short time in Arden, I have had the pleasure of both working with and learning from Bev and Carol and continuing to work with them would only enhance my life here in Arden. If elected or not, I will continue to volunteer time to the Forest Committee.
