I have lived in Arden with my wife, Sue, for the past two and a half years. I am a retired math teacher and former nonprofit manager and fundraiser.
I have volunteer experience in a variety of nonprofit organizations and currently serve on the boards of Ardensingers and the Arden Club as well being a member of the Arden Governance Task Force and the Inter-Ardens Transportation Working Group (After 65 years, I still can’t figure out how to say the word “no”).
You can often see Sue and me walking our corgis around the village — well, walking Mona and dragging poor old Buddy.
INTERESTS AND SKILLS: Although I admittedly didn’t have a lot of direct experience in anything remotely related to public works when I was first elected to the Civic Committee, I have done my best to learn on-the-job as committee chair during the past two years.
I can’t say that I particularly enjoy serving as Civic Chair and the responsibility that it entails, but I am willing to continue in the role if reelected. What I do enjoy is working with a wonderful group of volunteers who do so much to make Arden a great place to live.
