WHO I AM:
I’ve been in the health care industry for 37 years and recently retired here to Arden. If you are going to move to a new state where you don’t know a single person….Arden, De. is the place to land. People in this village have been warm and welcoming, and I am grateful. When an opportunity came up last year to serve on this committee I had the same experience…warm and welcoming, and I was glad for the opportunity to give back.
This committee has afforded me the opportunity to learn what is important to the people in this village and to engage in meaningful conversations with our neighbors.
I’m so grateful for the opportunity to serve the village I call home and hope to be able to continue this next year.
INTEREST AND/OR SKILLS:
For many years I lived and worked in an environment which required consensus for any changes to our working environment…I learned that drawing a line in the sand rarely led to collaborative and meaningful discussions and less rarely to a positive resolution. Hearing, understanding and considering all perspectives has tremendous value, and I hope to continue in that tradition this coming year.
