Pam Politis, candidate for Community Planning and Schroeder Trust Steward

WHO I AM:
I’ve lived in the Ardens for over 25 years and been involved in many aspects of our community from the moment we moved here. We raised two boys who went to ACRA and the Arden pool, performed in Shakespeare plays, and learned community service by working at the Arden Fair, pulling Ivy in the woods, and spreading playground mulch. I have always served the Village in some form, having been a member of various committees, an Assessor, and now a member of Community Planning for several years. I’ve been a Board Member of ACRA for over 15 years.
INTEREST AND/OR SKILLS:
In addition to knowing the Arden community well, I knew Johanna Schroeder and saw her walking through the woods and around the Greens frequently. She delighted at seeing my children and especially the dogs enjoy these spaces and she truly appreciated how wonderful our natural spaces are for our community.  I am an attorney and understand well the obligations of a Trustee to serve the Trust and would strive to be loyal to the trust mission and directives.

Pam, thanks so much for stepping up to serve our community again! Knowing your long history in Arden, especially your connection to both ACRA and Community Planning really speaks to your deep commitment to this village. Having kids grow up here gives you a unique understanding of what families need and value in Arden.

What I particularly appreciate is your description of your appreciation of Johanna Schroeder – that’s lovely. Your legal expertise, while a plus in general, will be invaluable serving as a Schroeder trust steward in particular. Making sure her wishes for these vital green spaces are honored is so critical, and knowing that an experienced attorney like yourself is poised to steward that feels incredibly reassuring. Wishing you all the best in your candidacy – thanks again for dedicating your time and skills to Arden.
