INTEREST AND/OR SKILLS:
During the past few years, I’ve been on the Playground Committee. We have refurbished benches, repaved the Buzz basketball court, installed swing mats, and updated playground equipment. I’ve participated in monthly equipment safety inspections and routine playground maintenance. I have also assisted with repainting the swing sets, blue pipes, and benches.
Also during the past few years, I’ve assisted Mr. Politis, Mr. Ridings, and Mr. Morente with the formation of the Ardensready community emergency preparedness group. Ardensready has now grown to include over fifty active members, the majority of whom are now CERT trained and ready to serve. Our growing list of goals includes additional training with New Castle County emergency responders and paramedics and the formation of comprehensive community communication system and “block captain” network of volunteers.
If elected to the Safety Committee, I will listen to the advice of those committee members and residents who have more knowledge and experience than I do. I will also do my best to complete whatever tasks and duties that are required, Hopefully, i will also have an insight or two that will be of benefit to the Arden communities.
