Marcia Scheflen, candidate for Archives
WHO I AM:
I am a retired teacher/administrator, mother of 4 and grandmother of 8. My husband and I moved to Arden in 2011, after we had both retired and our children had flown. I had aspired to live here since I first discovered Arden in the early 90’s when we arrived in Delaware from Baltimore. The woods, the greens, the wide variety of interesting dwellings enchanted me. We had attended Ardensingers and Shakespeare offerings and each interaction with the ‘locals’ reinforced its attractions. We quickly began attending Henry George classes and events and learned more about the founding. Our house, The Brambles, has a long history and we are fortunate to have a collection of pictures of some of its many stages of growth.
I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to be hands on with more Arden history. I have served on the Registration Committee for a few terms and enjoyed the detailed ins and outs of vote counting and the Hare Proportional system. I like details and organization and I love the richness of Arden’s genesis and history.
INTEREST AND/OR SKILLS:
