WHO I AM:
I am a proud resident of Arden since 2003 and an active retiree who enjoys participating in Arden government, getting to know my neighbors, and helping when needed. Overall I have experience (either elected or volunteer) with Archives, Audit, Budget, BWVC, Forest and Board of Assessors as well as the ACSM Inc Board and the Arden Club Board. During my 30+ years as a public school educator I learned the value of cooperation and collaboration. Transferring these skills to the committees and boards on which I’ve served has been key to helping build groups that willingly work together as one team.
INTEREST AND/OR SKILLS:
- I am interested in serving on the Registration Committee because this group has the responsibility of ensuring each eligible voter’s ballot is counted and each voice is heard in Village elections.
- Reaching out to residents and providing comprehensive information about Village issues and concerns that will be voted upon (whether during town meetings, by mailed referendum ballot or some other approved voting process) is important to me.
- I appreciate technology and its ability to help this committee work not harder, but smarter. I am excited that Arden residents have chosen to purchase Meridia’s electronic voting system and hope to be a part of the group that supports Arden’s voters as they become comfortable with this system of counting votes more efficiently and accurately. These “clickers” have the potential to be a timesaver at town meetings!
I ask you to cast your ballot to help elect me to the Registration Committee this year. Do not hesitate to reach out with your questions or concerns by text/phone at 302-690-4228, by email at dmricard@msn.com or by knocking on my door at 2315 Woodland Lane. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
