The duty of the Community Planning Committee is to plan the physical and cultural future of the community and to advise with the Town Assembly and Trustees on all matters relating to the betterment and development of Arden. Long-range planning policy has been the responsibility of this Committee with the advice of the Trustees and Advisory Committee.
What drives me to volunteer for CPC is a desire to serve all residents of the Village of Arden equally for their good and welfare, following the duties of the Committee and obeying all Town governing documents. My door will always be open to anyone who has a question or comment, and I vow to acknowledge such with a written response within a day or two. I also vow to take such to the Committee as a whole for discussion at an upcoming scheduled meeting.
I have been an active participant in CPC meetings for 3 years, attending 95% of their regularly scheduled meetings. I have served on a subcommittee bringing governance meetings to the public, and updating the Village website with the help of GIC to find the best possible fit for Arden in terms of design and function. Recently I have attended all meetings of the CP Mission SubCommittee. I look forward to bringing my knowledge to the table, and working with other members of the committee.
