I am running for re-election to the Budget Committee, having served more than a year. I work well with the other members of the committee in preparing the annual budget for presentation to the Town in the Fall.
Close to three years ago, Ellie Hansen and I made Arden our permanent home. The Town runs on community involvement, and I have always valued public service.
In my youth I was an active Boy Scout. In college, I was a member of Alpha Phi Omega, the national service fraternity, which ran a non-profit used book exchange, managed student government elections, and raised funds for worthy causes.
Currently I’m part of the Schroeder Trust working group to revise the trust document for Town approval. I’m a volunteer for the Arden Fair and I deliver the Arden Page each month on my neighborhood route.
Now that I’m retired, I want to use my prior experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors to help this unique community continue to thrive.
I’d very much like to continue to serve on the Budget Committee.
