I have lived in Arden since 1990, living in the home that once belonged to my uncles. I am happy to have raised two children who as adults retain close ties with the community. I have enjoyed serving on both the Playground and Registration committees. I worked as staff with the ACRA summer camp for 2 years and for many years was the nurse in attendance at the annual July 4th festivities on the Green,
Professionally, I have been a pediatric nurse since 1981, working with babies and toddlers, children with special needs, and school students (and staff). I am now retired and volunteer with the Delaware Medical Reserve Corp and the Brandywine School District. I have a heart for service.
INTERESTS & SKILLS: I love history and nearly majored in that subject in college. Practicality and job security steered me to nursing instead. I enjoy connecting the dots that span points in time, people, and places. It is like figuring out a puzzle. I enjoy researching and I am detail oriented. I appreciate learning how places and people change over time and recognize that the Archives document the transformation of most aspects of life here in Arden. I am willing to serve diligently and I am happy to take on any responsibilities that would benefit the collection in the Craft Shop Museum.
