I have been an Arden resident since 2003 when I moved to my leasehold on the Arden Green. I was elected to the Arden Board of Assessors in 2019 and 2020. Working collaboratively with the other assessors is an opportunity to thoughtfully consider and discuss the rates and factors involved in determining an annual land rent assessment that is fair and equitable for the majority of Arden’s almost 200 leaseholders. During these uncertain pandemic times which affect us all in various ways, these considerations have particular importance. Year over year consistency and evenhandedness are essential. I am a past graduate of Mike Curtis’ Henry George course and have served on various Arden Committees. As a recent retiree, I enjoy volunteering in my community, being involved in Arden government and getting to know my neighbors.
